The Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the backbone of Victory Gardens Theater. Your donations directly support the creation and presentation of world premieres, individually tailored arts education units in the classrooms of Chicago’s neediest Chicago Public Schools, and assistive services that make VGT more accessible for persons with disabilities than any other Theater in the area.

Because ticket sales only account for 54% of our income, we depend on the generosity of individuals like you to ensure the stability and longevity of our artistic, educational, and community engagement programs. Your donations of any size really do make a difference at Victory Gardens!

Please consider making a gift to Victory Gardens’ Annual Fund, and receive the following gifts from us in return:

($50 – $149)

  • A subscription to Victory Magazine

ENTHUSIAST
($150 – $249)

  • Guaranteed seating for two at VGT’s Open Rehearsals

($500 – $999)
   (Value of goods and services: $25)

  • The benefits of Backer, plus:
  • An exclusive invitation for two to the First Rehearsal of a VGT production in the Prince Charitable Trusts Rehearsal Room, which includes a design presentation and table read of the play
  • A VGT umbrella

All donations to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible less the value of any goods or services.

MATCHING GIFTS
Stretch your gift to the next level! Numerous employers will match charitable donations made by their current or former employees. Check with your human resources department to see if they can help increase your gift to Victory Gardens!

HONORARY AND MEMORIAL GIFTS
Donations made in honor of or in memory of a friend or loved one are lovely gestures in lieu of a more traditional gift. Victory Gardens Theater will send a card on your behalf notifying the honoree or family of the honoree that a donation has been made in his/her name, and you will receive a receipt for a tax deduction.
