Registration

Registration:

• You can register in person, send an email, phone the theater (773.549.5788), fax (773.549.2779) or use the US Postal Service [download the registration form].
• A $55 deposit on each class is required to register.
• Places in classes cannot be held without a deposit.
• Deposits are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.
• Receive a 20% discount on multiple classes!
• Submit your deposit by the early registration deadline and receive a $10 discount on each class!
• Tuition is due in full by the first class meeting.
• Victory Gardens accepts cash, checks, or Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover cards.

Bring A Friend:

• If you were a student during the previous sessions and are enrolling again, save money on your class by introducing a friend to Victory Gardens Training Center. Have your friend mention your name when they register, and if they haven�t taken a class in the previous year you'll receive a 20% discount on your class!

Work Study:

• Work study discounts are available to students who wish to exchange 32 hours of work (4 hours per week) for a 50% discount on one class.
• Interested students should schedule an interview at the time of registration and no later than two weeks prior to session start.
• There is no work study option for Workshops or Master Classes.

Samuel A Burstein Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Playwrights:

• The family of Samuel A. Burstein, a long time friend of Victory Gardens, has made it possible for the Training Center to offer tuition scholarships to qualified, needy students who would like to register for playwriting classes at Victory Gardens.
• Application is required at least two weeks prior to the start of class. Please contact Barbara Harris for an application.
• Write a brief statement as to why you want to pursue writing for the theater and submit a recommendation.
• Call or email the training center for further information.

Tuition Refunds:

• Refunds, less the $55 non-refundable deposit, are available up to one week before the class begins.
• Victory Gardens will refund half the tuition before the third week of class for 8-week or longer session classes and before the second week of class for 6-week session classes. Refunds will not be issued after that time.
• Refunds will not be issued for Master Classes or Workshops after the first class meeting.

Location and Parking:

• Classes will be held at Victory Gardens Biograph Theater at 2433 North Lincoln (north of Fullerton Avenue) and at the Greenhouse theater Center at 2257 North Lincoln Avenue, just south of Fullerton, in Lincoln Park. Please note the location of the class at the time of registration.

• By El: The Fullerton El is the closest train stop. It is accessible by the Red, Brown, and Purple lines.
• By Bus: The Lincoln Avenue, Fullerton, and Halsted Street buses all stop near the theater.
• Parking: Discounted parking is available on evenings after 5:00 PM and weekends in the Children's Memorial Hospital parking garage, just half block north of the theater, and the Lincoln Park Hospital, a half block south of the theater on Webster. Have your ticket stamped by the House Manager to obtain the discount.
